Second Living Space
Beaming with natural light, it's easy to keep warm and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

Solution.

Designed to create 3 distinct zones, the ground floor comprises 3 robed bedrooms which are served by two bathrooms with frameless rain showers and one with a luxuriously deep, freestanding, white bath set against dark marble tiles. The contrast of the white Caeserstone bench against black wall tiles and a black Hisense refrigerator is also used to striking effect in the kitchen that appears as you climb the stairs to the middle level which then opens up to reveal dining and living space extending out to a wide balcony.
Incorporating an extraordinary range of features including individual climate control in each room, custom made blinds and drapes, engineered American Oak flooring, mid-level powder room, ground floor laundry with external access to the lightwell, ducted vacuum, video intercom and alarm security, Bluetooth sound and plant watering systems, internal entry from the double auto garage accessed from the rear ROW. Ideally located just metres form High Street’s cafes, shops and city bound trams and close to Prahran Market and the vibrant retail, restaurant and entertainment precinct surrounding Chapel Street.
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.

Each room creates its own unique minimalistic space.

What it meant to the client.

It is easy to imagine the upper level being off limits to all but the adults and their guests to enjoy. Brilliantly conceived and realised this cosy retreat duplicates the gas log fire and television of the floor below but includes a Caeserstone wet bar at one end and intimate balcony at the other, the perfect place to enjoy pre- or post-dinner drinks. The very private, generously robed master bedroom and ensuite with dual vanity and frameless rain shower complete this parent’s retreat that will likely be the envy of many.
